Yes! At our clinic we use only gentle methods. There's no cracking, twisting or turning of the spine. Our youngest patient was only 36 hours old for her first adjustment. Our eldest patient was 92. The same gentle methods that are used with the very young and the very experienced are used with everyone here. That's why we call it Gentle Family Chiropractic!
Once I Start Going to a Chiropractor, Will I Have to Go Forever?
No! It is always your choice when you start AND stop chiropractic care. Some people see a chiropractor for a particular condition or symptom and when they are feeling better, they stop. Other people continue coming in for wellness (aka maintenance) chiropractic care after their symptoms are gone because they find it helps control their stress, improve their sleep and enhance their lifestyles. Your chiropractic care is always up to you.
How Often Will I Have to Go?
That depends on your individual situation. Most patients who come in have never seen a chiropractor before. They usually start at a couple times a week for a few weeks. Patients who are transferring from another chiropractor will have a different schedule.
Is Chiropractic Safe for Pregnancy?
Yes! Dr. Maya is certified in Webster Technique which was developed specifically to be used during pregnancy. It is a chiropractic method that gently and safely balances the pelvis to decrease aches and pains. This same method also can help a breech baby get into a better position for a natural birth.
Is Chiropractic Safe for Children and Infants? Why Do They Need Chiropractic Care? They Don't Have a Sore Back?
Yes! Chiropractic care is safe for children and infants. As mentioned above, our youngest patient was 36 hours old for her first adjustment. Obviously she didn't tell us that she had back pain but she did have trouble latching so she could breast feed. A few gentle adjustments to her lower jaw and there was no holding her back!
